Sally Ho, MA
My Experience
My name is Sally, and I’m a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) and the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (CPBC). I have over 18 years of experience providing psychological and vocational services in various roles within the public, private, and for-profit sectors. I offer counselling and psychological assessment services to adults experiencing a variety of personal challenges. I have experience working with various issues, including acute stress disorder, adjustment disorder, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, complex pain, work-related problems and injuries, stress and self-regulation. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership where we work together to identify and implement effective solutions to overcome your challenges. Through a caring, respectful and collaborative relationship, we will work together to improve your inner strengths and resilience while working toward your goals.
My Education & Training
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I continue to attend training, workshops, seminars, conferences and other learning opportunities to keep up to date in my knowledge and practice.
My Approach
Recognizing that every person is unique, I draw upon various evidence-based therapy approaches to tailor the best treatment to each client’s needs. I use a strength-based, trauma-informed approach. I am trained in and draw from several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness.
