Sally Ho, MA
My Experience
My name is Sally. I’m a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO), the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC), and the Professional and Corporate Affairs – Government of Yukon. I have over 18 years of experience providing psychological and vocational services in various roles within the public, private, and for-profit sectors. I offer counselling and psychological assessment services to adults experiencing a variety of personal challenges. I have experience working with various issues, including acute stress disorder, adjustment disorder, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, complex pain, work-related problems and injuries, stress and self-regulation. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership where we work together to identify and implement effective solutions to overcome your challenges. Through a caring, respectful and collaborative relationship, we will work together to improve your inner strengths and resilience while helping you achieve your goals.
My Education & Training
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I continue to attend training, workshops, seminars, conferences, and other learning opportunities to stay up to date with my knowledge and practice.
My Approach
Recognizing that every person is unique, I draw upon various evidence-based therapy approaches to tailor the most effective treatment to each client’s specific needs. I use a strength-based, trauma-informed approach. I am trained in and draw from several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness.
